Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our company as the VP of Business Development. As the head of the sales organization, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all sales functions and strategic initiatives of our construction company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the President and establish a clear long-term strategic direction for the company. Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of executives, managers and general staff to achieve business goals.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with clients, and develop strategies to expand our market presence. Lead efforts to sell and secure profitable projects.
  • Marketing: Lead efforts to create new marketing initiatives for Associa branches.
  • Financial Management: Ensure the financial health of the company through sound budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Talent Management: Provide mentorship and guidance to nurture employee development and succession planning.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster effective communication with internal stakeholders (employees) as well as external stakeholders such as clients (both Associa branches and condominium Board of Directors), subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must have a customer-first approach and have required level of patience and insight.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the construction industry.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent business acumen with demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Proficient in financial management principles including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Strong understanding of HOA Boards, construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Ability to travel regularly, potentially on short advance notice.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Requires a bachelor's degree and five plus years of experience in a leadership role in the insurance restoration industry. Experience serving HOA communities is desirable. Must be advocate of continual learning and development.
