Overview

We are looking for an inventive mid-level UX/UI designer, with a passion for creating efficient and effective web and native apps for client success, seeking a remote position in a product design and UX/UI career path.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, with developers, and UX designers. You will be able to make deliberate design decisions and translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction. We're not looking for graphic designers for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and QA team members in an Empowered Team approach.
  • Design intuitive product experiences that are formulated through user-driven discovery and validation.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Present and defend your design decisions. All your design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, typography, whitespace, visual weight, etc.)
  • Continually keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest changes in the UX discipline.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing digital and mobile projects
  • At least 2 years of experience as a UX Designer in areas such as customer strategy, user research, information architecture, customer experience design, product design or other similar areas.
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading small/medium-sized projects, including the ability to navigate scope, work with large teams and present ideas to clients
  • Thorough knowledge of user-centered design principles and traditional design principles, with expertise in how to apply them within a visual design system.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
  • Experience using tools such as Figma, AdobeXD, Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, UXPin, Quartz.
  • Creative ideas with problem solving mindset.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview

 

Preferred If You Have…

  • Experience using Design Libraries
  • Data visualization skills
  • Actively engaged in the UX community and in tune with the latest developments in the industry
  • Degree or Bootcamp in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors,
  • Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science
  • Ability to define product requirements based on user and stakeholder research
  • High level of proficiency using Figma for producing
