Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance duties of Associations involving mostlyexterior carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs and minor roofing repairs in addition toother exterior responsibilities to guarantee that the communities we manage are properly and safelymaintained.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Work hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Travel to multiple sites to perform general maintenance technician tasks, such as light plumbing, light electrical, and light carpentry work.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently andthat the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs toensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors,gutters and drains.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 3 -- 5 years of directly related or closely related experience.
  • Traveling within the DMV is required (no overnights). Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record are required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,regulations, etc.);electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation,safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, State or local government worksite and personal safety requirements.
  • Professional customer service AND communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level,hammer, etc.).
