Position Summary
The Closing Coordinator is a key member of the Transfer & Disclosure team. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of escrow documents and payments resulting from a resale or refinance transaction.
Position Responsibilities
Process transfer of ownership in Connect and Jenark resulting from resale transactions for client properties/associations.
Enters applicable charges to new owner accounts per the association documents.
Post all payments received from the Title company to new owner’s account.
Post payments to the seller’s account when applicable.
Determine if all funds have been collected per the association documents.
Conduct research for issues relating to cash receipts, missing payments, missing documentation, etc.
Communicate with Title companies via email, phone, or USPS mail.
Provide exemplary customer service to all clients, owners, and residents.
Heavy data entry, attention to detail and accuracy required.
Assist executive team members, management, and other accounting personnel on projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Operating Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Education/Training: Basic knowledge of accounting. Property Management industry experienced preferred but not required.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills. Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices, ability to perform with minimum supervision and make decisions independently. Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize workload, meet hard and fast deadline. Must be a team player. Must possess strong analytical skills. Detail-oriented with multiple tasks, information organization.
Special Requirements:
Physical demands include ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Standing, sitting, walking. The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
