Tennis Professional Job Description
Reports To: Director of Fitness and Sports Courts
Position Type: Independent Contractor
Essential Position Functions
- Teach private lessons, clinics, and team practices as required by Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch members.
- Communicates all issues and programs with the Director of Fitness and Sports Courts to ensure all policies are consistent with those of Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch.
- Assists residents and guests with court reservations and booking as needed.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of sports programming and tennis.
- Must be in excellent physical condition.
Educational Experiences And Requirements
- Professional Certification from the USPTA or USPTR.
- CPR, AED, First Aid Certifications.
- 5 years’ experience and/or the equivalent experience and training in a private, member-owned club/space. Hospitality resort experience, preferred.
Working Conditions
- Works indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals, and or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
- Must be in excellent physical condition and perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for extended periods of time.
