Job Description
Action Property Management, a premier Homeowners Association management company, is seeking a Temporary Building Engineer to join our team at our luxury association, Santee Village located in Los Angeles.
Compensation: $36.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday -Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, overtime when necessary
Job Summary
The Building Engineer is responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all "common areas" within the Association, as defined in the Association's governing documents. The Building Engineer shall oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all necessary building systems, and shall possess a basic understanding of all systems servicing standard residential units.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies
- Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems including mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC, and water circulation system
- Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors
- Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program
- Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvements to building systems, including control software
Requirements
- Onsite Engineering experience in a luxury high-rise community or hotel
- Familiar with the Uniform Commercial Building Code
- HOA experience is a plus
- Familiar with boiler and chiller repairs
- Fire system management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Team player attitude
- Must be available by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies
Certifications/Licenses:
- HVAC certificate
- EPA/608 License
- Fire Pump Certificate preferred
- High Rise Fire Safety Director Certificate preferred
- Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance
