Job Description

Job Summary

The Tax Specialist position is responsible for oversight and management of all Association tax related filing and reporting. This is an accounting support position in a fast paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of branch offices.
  • Manage and remit via the IRS EFTPS system estimated tax payments as provided by CPA.
  • Track annual Association income tax return filing process.
  • Track Association Sales Tax returns based on filing requirements.
  • Track Use Tax returns based on filing requirements.
  • Track Association Income Tax returns as assigned.
  • Track annual state tax filings.
  • Oversee and manage audit process as assigned.
  • Perform bank reconciliations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of IRS and state tax codes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 0 – 3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
