Job Responsibilities
Perform the recruitment and selection process for both non-exempt and exempt roles for FirstService Residential Illinois. We are looking for a high energy, resourceful, and collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced and ever changing environment. You will be working as part of a highly engaged HR Team supporting 500 associates across the Chicagoland area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Conduct the recruiting role to source, attract and hire associates that are a sound fit for our culture, have a customer oriented and growth mindset, and looking to build a career
- Assist to develop and maintain best practices for engaging internal and external talent champions
- Source candidates through multiple channels including, but not limited to: online job postings, social media, referrals/networking, professional and trade organizations, colleges, trade schools, etc.
- Determine search strategies and implement online and other recruiting strategies best suited for the opening to attract the most qualified candidates
- Manage open requisitions via Applicant Tracking System - create job requisitions, post jobs and engage with candidates throughout the course of the recruitment process
- Engage passive talent by means of building relationships and utilizing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed recruiting and others as necessary.
- Create and update recruitment ads/job postings
- Collaborate with Hiring Managers to create and update job descriptions for accuracy
- Build talent pipeline for positions with consistent recruiting needs
- Meet regularly with internal stakeholders to assess hiring needs
- Review applications and conduct phone interviews, in-person interviews, and coordinate next level interviews
- Coordinate any assessments or profiles required; initiate background checks.
- Prepare and extend offer letters
- Ensure completion of new associate documents prior to first day (i.e., offer letter, employment agreement, background check forms, etc.)
- Provide a professional and detailed transition from recruitment to On-Boarding process
- Maintain employee referral program and process referral payments with payroll team
- Provide exceptional customer service both to external customers, our candidates, as well as internal customers, our hiring teams and associates
- Other duties and projects as needed to support the recruitment process

- Participate in HR Team projects and meetings focused on serving our associates and clients.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Perform a range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
Peer coaching support to HR & Recruiting Coordinator
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or some college plus job related education/experience preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of recruiting experience;
- Exposure to social media campaigns/recruiting platforms preferred.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other HRIS systems
- Minimum one year of MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- ADP Vantage Recruiting Management (RM) experience a plus
- LinkedIn Recruiter experience a plus
- Background in customer service, property management, and/or real estate preferred
