Join our dynamic Corner Property Management team!

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a unique blend of analytical, operational, and leadership skills. Our ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in real estate accounting for residential communities and a deep understanding of the significance of client satisfaction.

As a Staff Accountant, you will collaborate closely with our Controller and Accounting Supervisor to oversee the financial operations of assigned Associations. This role offers you the opportunity to showcase your expertise and establish yourself as a trusted professional while fostering service-oriented relationships with clients, homeowners, vendors, and service providers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for residential communities.
  • Completion of monthly reporting packages on time.
  • Management of investments, cash balances, and cash adequacy.
  • Finalization of the association's Balance Sheet and Income Statement with variance analysis and explanations.
  • Tracking of association expense schedules, prepaid expenses, insurance schedules, and accrued expenses.
  • Review and analysis of subsidiary ledgers for accuracy.
  • Creation of monthly journal entries and year-end entries for audit.
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts monthly.
  • Assistance with annual budget preparation.
  • Interaction with board members, property managers, and support personnel.
  • Collaboration with outside auditors for annual audits.
  • Training of new and current employees for team improvement.
  • Completion of special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in property accounting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with accounting for not-for-profit organizations
  • Proficiency in accrual-based accounting and fund accounting
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of General Accounting Principles
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new accounting technologies
  • Proficient in using MS Office & 365
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
