AppFolio is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our team of innovators, changemakers, and collaborators as a part of our Accounting product domain to work across our proprietary product to enable innovation in Real Estate.

What We’re Looking For:

• An experienced product designer ready to solve long-term, complex problems in the most mission-critical parts of our application.
• A fearless customer advocate who can utilize both qualitative and quantitative user feedback to make excellent design decisions.
• A design partner that serves as a UX leader in a close-knit product development team focused on empowering customers to perform accounting functions efficiently, accurately, and at scale.
  
  

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a UI, UX, or Product Designer with long-term investment in a single product area or focus.
• Proficiency with best-in-class design and documentation tools (i.e., Figma, Coda, Storybook).
• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers.
• Experience not only performing user research and collecting data to make decisions – but also presenting those decisions to the larger organization seamlessly and enthusiastically.
• A keen eye for design improvements and visual detail.
• A stunning portfolio or collection of past work relates to this job’s requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills: both synchronously and asynchronously.
  
  

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with designing large-scale enterprise web applications focused on Real Estate, Property Tech, FinTech, Accounting or other relevant domains.
• Expertise in collecting user metrics and analyzing user sessions (e.g. Amplitude, Heap, Mixpanel).
• Experience with front-end web development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong interaction design skills and interest.
