Description

Hi, We’re AppFolio

We’re innovators, changemakers, and collaborators. We’re more than just a software company – we’re pioneers in cloud and AI who deliver magical experiences that make our customers’ lives easier. We’re revolutionizing how people do business in the real estate industry, and we want your ideas, enthusiasm, and passion to help us keep innovating.

AppFolio is fueled by a community of high-performing employees, where inclusion sparks innovation and provides a strong foundation for our work and The AppFolian Way. As our Sr. Learning & Inclusion Specialist, you will manage our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and provide critical programmatic support for the L&D team. You'll partner with stakeholders and leaders across functions to deliver engaging experiences that drive connection in alignment with our strategic objectives and The AppFolian Way. This role requires a strong focus on getting things done, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and quality in all program delivery.

Your impact

  • Oversee our four employee resource groups, including managing budgets and supporting Executive Sponsors and ERG leadership teams to ensure alignment with our strategic DEI objectives.
  • Conceptualize, run, and own planning and facilitation of DEI events and celebrations that align with our strategy, reinforce our inclusive culture, and drive engagement and connection in partnership with our Workplace services team.
  • Create, lead, and source engaging training programs and workshops that enhance inclusion and equip our teams with essential skills to excel in their roles.
  • Provide programmatic support for the L&D team, including helping to schedule, manage, and deliver L&D events and programs. This includes: coordinating logistics and communications for foundational DEI workshops and other learning sessions, and ensuring L&D and DEI resources are reviewed and updated regularly.

Qualifications

  • A proactive, team-oriented leader embodies our “Paddle as One” mindset by fostering strong cross-functional relationships and a collaborative, inclusive environment that drives exceptional results across the organization.
  • A strong team player who promotes collaboration, gains trust, and ensures that cross-functional partners and the voice of the customer are represented in the design and delivery of inclusive people practices.
  • Progressive experience in program or event management, with a focus on inclusion and learning & development within dynamic, high-growth environments.

Must have

  • A track record of successfully designing and delivering programs and events that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • The ability to plan and execute complex programs with a focus on timeliness, attention to detail, and quality.
  • Stay curious and be a continual learner—bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the table.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
