What You’ll Do

At Appfolio, our goal is to keep our ecosystem’s accounts safe, provide them uninterrupted access to their payment capabilities, and minimize the company’s risk exposure and fraud loss. As a Sr. Fraud Analyst on the Payments team at Appfolio, you will be responsible for analyzing suspicious transaction activity as a subject matter expert in order to create proactive measures of risk mitigation that align to our policies and procedures. You will bring an expert level of fraud detection experience in order to create and develop solutions (alets, policies, procedures, dashboards) that mitigate risks and losses. You will be the main point of contact for developing solutions to new payment products and automate the decisioning based on case investigation and data analysis..

Must Haves

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced SQL, Excel and Tableau skills required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of work experience, in a fraud/risk analytics role preferable
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $80,000-$100,000.

The actual base salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits, bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
