This role will represent FP&A as a business partner across Marketing departments to drive efficient, scalable financial processes. The role will deliver modeling and analytics that enable business leaders to make informed decisions and foster a collaborative partnership.
Your impact
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to Marketing departments. Key responsibilities will include:
- Build partnerships with Marketing leaders, Marketing budget owners, Accounting, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams.
- Lead monthly financial reviews to discuss results, risks, opportunities, and forecast expectations.
- Create predictive models for cost and headcount projections. Track key variances, changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Serve as a leader in the annual budgeting process, working with business partners to understand funding needs while ensuring they meet budget targets. Develop reporting around key drivers, assumptions, and trends in alignment with business goals.
- Create slide decks to synthesize results for leadership while adding insights beyond the numbers.
- Complete financial modeling to understand if potential investments would add value and to what extent. Be able to explain how Marketing spend impacts unit and revenue metrics.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and adherence to accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required; e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, OFFSET, pivot tables, Goal Seek, macros, etc
- Self-start mentality; takes initiative to build business partnerships, work through ambiguity, and discover new insights without specific step-by-step instructions
- Ability to identify ways to automate processes, such as Opex reporting and headcount management.
- Eagerness to develop a deep understanding of the Marketing business, including Digital Advertising, Event Planning, and the Marketing Technology landscape.
Must have
- 5+ years FP&A experience or equivalent tenure from related positions in finance, data analytics or business analysis
Nice to have
- Understanding of valuation metrics such as DCF, NPV, ROI, and IRR
- Experience with Adaptive Insights, Snowflake, Tableau, Allocadia and other financial systems preferred; knowledge of SQL a plus
- 2+ years of experience in SaaS business
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $90,000-$135,000
The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
