The Sr. Credit Analyst on the Payments team at Appfolio is part of a dynamic team responsible for assessing and overseeing the credit risk profile of new and existing Appfolio customers. During the underwriting process, the Sr. Credit Analyst will lead the review of prospective clients by applying in-depth credit and financial analysis knowledge, industry standards, and overall corporate operations practices. It will be the Sr. Credit Analyst’s responsibility to verify each applicant’s information and supporting documentation, as well as perform full KYC/KYB to ensure accuracy and consistency with required standards.

Your impact

• Own credit/risk decision on Property Manager and Investment Manager applications in order to keep Appfolio safe and keep the team within their SLAs.
• Contribute to process improvements for the Underwriting team.
• Work cross functionally to ensure the Underwriting process is optimized for the best customer experience while keeping the company safe.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the payment processing industry and apply this knowledge to keep our ecosystem and accounts safe, provide customers uninterrupted access to their payment capabilities, and minimize the company’s risk exposure and fraud loss.

• Maintain a stable performance when under heavy pressure or stress.

Must haves

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a credit risk analytics role.
• Experience with KYC/CDD tools.
• Experience with credit & financial analysis in the fintech payments industry.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.
• BS or higher in a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $70,000 - $105,000.

The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s skills, education, experience, etc.

Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
