The Appfolio Business Systems team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Finance Systems to play a key role in implementing, integrating, and operating the applications used at Appfolio. Our preferred candidate would have the knowledge and hands-on experience implementing and/or administering Workday HCM. This includes working with business users to document business process requirements, using best practices in designing then configuring solutions, participating in end-user training, post-implementation support, and system administration duties.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gathers and documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Work with multiple workstreams, implementation partners, integration teams, engineering teams, and business organizations to ensure cohesive and cross-functional impacts are considered and mitigated.
• Creating or contributing to requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation as necessary.
• Works with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to plan, scope, and configure the HR system to deliver desired functionality and outcomes.
• Participates in end-to-end system integration testing across multiple workstreams, functions, and teams.
• Interacting and developing strong relationships with business users and peer technical teams in all HR and Finance areas.
• Perform system administration of in-scope HRIS and related systems.
  
  

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree or Master's degree, in Business / Accounting / Finance / Information Systems or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of proven business systems analyst experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst role supporting HR and/or Finance Systems software implementations and support.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly and enjoy doing so.
• Must be proactive and able to work independently with limited supervision in a team environment.
• Participation in medium/complex application testing.
• Experience with basic report writing and data analysis.
• Financial/system control experience in a public company environment is a plus.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
