As a Small Claims Representative at City Property, you will play a critical role in managing small claims processes and representing our organization in court hearings. You will be responsible for researching, preparing, and processing small claims packets, handling correspondence, and managing financial transactions related to small claims. Your ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues will be essential to your success. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and extended hours.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed research and gather necessary documentation to create comprehensive small claims packets.
  • Review, process, and respond to correspondence from CityCync, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Manage the printing and mailing of checks, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Compile and prepare integrity packets with all necessary documentation and evidence.
  • Prepare, file, and manage the processing of small claims packets, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Attend court hearings to represent the interests of CPMC and the Homeowners Association.
  • Review and process integrity bills, ensuring accurate billing and payment.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the department and organization.

Skills

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including email and calendar management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the public.
  • Proven ability to handle and protect sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • Consistent punctuality and willingness to work extended hours and various schedules as needed.
