Job Description

Essential Functions: Provide excellent food and beverage service to club members and guests at our Country Club, Rancho La Quinta.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 5 hours or more during your shift
• Two years of comparable wait service preferred
• Position involves daytime, evening, weekends and holiday shifts as required
• County of Riverside Food Handlers Certification
• Alcoholic Board Control RBS Certification
• Point of Sale Experience Preferred

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provides immediate attention to all members/guests upon arrival
• Distributes menus when needed
• Up-sell when appropriate
• Answers questions and suggests menu items based on their preferences
• Takes members'/guests' orders
• Places orders with kitchen; informs Executive Chef or Sous Chef about any special cooking instructions
• Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person
• Checks back to ensure member/ guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary
• Assists in removal of soiled dishes
• Suggest and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
• Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures, making sure all member charges are signed by member
• Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manger
• Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Dining Room Supervisor or Clubhouse Food and Beverage Manager
• Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule in a clean, pressed, correct uniform
• Ability to read, speak and understand communication in English; bilingual preferred
• Rate of Pay: $15.50 per hour
