Job Description
Essential Functions: Provide excellent food and beverage service to club members and guests at our Country Club, Rancho La Quinta.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 5 hours or more during your shift
- Two years of comparable wait service preferred
- Position involves daytime, evening, weekends and holiday shifts as required
- County of Riverside Food Handlers Certification
- Alcoholic Board Control RBS Certification
- Point of Sale Experience Preferred
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provides immediate attention to all members/guests upon arrival
- Distributes menus when needed
- Up-sell when appropriate
- Answers questions and suggests menu items based on their preferences
- Takes members'/guests' orders
- Places orders with kitchen; informs Executive Chef or Sous Chef about any special cooking instructions
- Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person
- Checks back to ensure member/ guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary
- Assists in removal of soiled dishes
- Suggest and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
- Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures, making sure all member charges are signed by member
- Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
- Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manger
- Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Dining Room Supervisor or Clubhouse Food and Beverage Manager
- Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule in a clean, pressed, correct uniform
- Ability to read, speak and understand communication in English; bilingual preferred
- Rate of Pay: $15.50 per hour
