Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead (Remote)

REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

This role is eligible for remote work. FRONTSTEPS is authorized to do business in AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, NC, OR, TX, SC, and WA. If you are not located in or able to work from a state where FRONTSTEPS is registered, we will not be able to consider you for this position.

Position Overview

As an Engineering Team Lead, you will be an integral part of our fast-moving team with high standards in all aspects of development. We are looking for someone who possesses the desire and drive to utilize the latest technologies, while embracing a fearless approach to innovation.

In addition to mentoring groups and individuals, you will become the go-to employee for the entire product line, taking ownership of your assigned responsibilities. You should be comfortable tackling challenges and collaborating with others to push the limits of your knowledge and expertise.

Essential Functions

• Lead and contribute to the planning, tasking, and execution at all levels of the agile development process
• Take the lead in discussions regarding issues and solutions for requirements generated by external customers and internal departments
• Prepare features for delivery following the defined development process and deploy them to production
• Demonstrate new development in stand-ups to the organization's product ownership
• Dive into critical escalations, actively participating in operations to ensure efficient resolution
• Deliver value to Frontsteps engineering while fostering positive relationships within the team
• Work with legacy code and contribute to modernization efforts.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by management
  
  
  

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 8-10 years equivalent development work experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in developing ASP.NET based applications using C#, Entity Framework, MVC, object-oriented programming, and ASP.NET Web API's
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with .NET Core/.NET 5/.NET 6
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with SQL and relational databases (preferably SQL Server)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience architecting cloud-scale software solutions
• Minimum of 2 years' experience creating applications using Docker containers
• Experience in designing distributed software deployments using Azure
• Ability and interest in learning new technologies and methods that challenge your comfort zone
• Previous experience working in larger teams consisting of more than 5 people
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with Azure, working with multiple types of deployments, Functions, LogicApps, and ServiceBus
• Previous experience integrating with third-party providers via APIs
• Experience deploying applications with Azure Pipelines or other CI/CD tools is a plus
• Current Microsoft certification is preferred

This position may be based remotely and pays and annual salary of $115,000 - $135,000.
