Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager of Training and Development

Job Type: Regular/ Full Time

Job Status: Exempt

Reports to: Vice President Level Professional

Position Purpose

Senior Manager of Training and Development responsibilities include identifying training needs based on skills gap analyses, developing individual, and group learning courses. In addition, this position will manage the training budget as well as associates in the training and development department. To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience organizing training sessions and designing the educational curriculum. Ultimately, this position will help the company develop our employees’ skill set to improve quality of work, productivity and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Use performance reviews and skills gap analyses to identify training needs per department, team and individual
  • Craft career plans
  • Instructional Design and Development
  • Assist in the development, communication, and presentation to Board Members
  • Systems access and use
  • Board functions, responsibilities, and operations
  • Plan training programs based on business goals
  • Oversee learning activities, curriculum, and resources
  • Manage quarterly and annual training budgets
  • Evaluate the results of learning courses
  • Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning
  • Recommend new training methods (including e-learning courses and game-based platforms)
  • Manage a small team

Requirements

  • Work experience as a Senior Training Manager and /or Department Training Manager or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching)
  • Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment
  • Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication verbal and in writing.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Conflict Resolution Skills

Credential Requirements

  • BS/MA in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, Business or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of Training, Coaching, Program Creation, Skills Building -Skills Assessment.
  • Hold the CMCA, AMS, and/or PCAM designation from CAMICB/CAI

Environmental Job Requirements

  • Office Setting, Onsite location at CMA Headquarters Monday-Friday.
  • Possible travel to outer markets/states.
  • Dress Code: Professional Attire/ Business Casual

Education Required

  • BS/MA in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology, or relevant field
