As a Senior Instructional Designer at CCMC, you will be part of the Learning & Development team reporting to the Learning & Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for designing training for a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led, virtual instructor led, eLearning and more. You will manage small and large-scale projects and lead team initiatives. The ideal candidate will assess curriculum improvement opportunities, create, and revise training content, and make recommendations as necessary for a best-in-class team.

 

What You’ll Accomplish

 

  • Own the end-to-end design and development of Instructional Design projects.
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify training delivery types and learning objectives.
  • Develop flow diagrams and storyboards.
  • Design and develop for various device types such as iPads and mobile devices.
  • Act as a learning consultant to specific lines of business.
  • Provide feedback and thought around effectiveness of learning and uncover opportunities to enhance performance through learning.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create engaging, interactive, and compelling learning solutions through content that includes video, simulations, gamification, etc.
  • Design learning in a way that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learning styles to ensure learning solutions resonate with our learners.
  • Learn our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in instructional design and learning technologies to continue to elevate the learning experiences.
  • Assist in creating processes and procedures for better efficiency.
  • Maintain proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva etc.
  • Provide guidance to team members in instructional design, communication, and project management.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • 7+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer creating curriculums, designing, and developing multi-modality learning such as eLearning, traditional instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, video etc.
  • Highly collaborative with a “can do” attitude” and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Relentless high standards and an attention to detail.
  • Experience in all phases of the ADDIE model.
  • Strong aptitude in graphic design, video, and audio production.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of learning theories, instructional methodologies, and design standards to design and develop interactive learning for various delivery methods.
  • Extensive experience with instructional systems design models and methodologies, authoring tools, and learning management systems integration.
  • Subject matter expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design best practices in all modalities with the ability to convert strategies to effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • Strong background in project management.
  • Advanced ability to partner with SMEs to transform complex topics into meaningful and measurable learning programs and content.
  • Advanced SME interview skills to identify needs and recommend effective learning solutions.
  • Must have an eye for design, a serious obsession with learning, and a proven ability to tie learning events to measurable outcomes that reflect our mission and culture.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with strong capabilities to partner with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in learning authoring tools: i.e., Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva etc.
  • Ability to create and manage clear project plans outlining stakeholder responsibilities, timelines, needs, and risks.
