Job Description

Action is seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Community Manager (Portfolio) to join our Los Angeles Portfolio Team. This position is a hybrid role based out of the Los Angeles office.

 

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience. Monthly auto allowance and monthly cell phone reimbursement provided.

Summary

 

Senior Portfolio Community Managers generally manage 3 to 4 communities in addition to directly supervising assigned Portfolio Community Managers. Senior Community Managers are provided dedicated support from key departments. This allows our Community Managers to stay focused on their key objectives and offer a level of service, expertise and knowledge that surpasses our client's expectations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In addition to the duties of Portfolio Community Manager:
    • Provide management services, guidance and support of assigned associations
    • Mentor, train and support Portfolio Community Managers
  • When directed, fill-in for Regional Manager to address/resolve board member, homeowner or vendor related issues
  • May attend meetings with Community Managers when needed
  • Mentor, train and supervise internal (when assigned) employees, to include adherence to established company procedures and
  • May directly supervise specific personnel and/or internal
    • Manage staff
    • Compliance of all company standards and procedures
    • Hiring, training, motivating and disciplinary
    • Attend management related meetings.
    • Daily management of productivity and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities, under different types of situations (critical and non-critical), to include internal staff, homeowners, Board members, and
  • Interact with all Associations contractors, colleagues on behalf of the Board

 

Requirements

 

  • A minimum of 5 years of HOA portfolio management experience. More experienced Managers are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be available for evening Board Meetings
  • CMCA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

 

Skills/Qualifications

 

  • Keen knowledge of budgets and the budgeting process.
  • Strong knowledge of audits, reserve studies, bidding process, and Association governing documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective presentation skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to following up on all issues in a timely manner.
