Description
WPM is a leading provider of multiple Property Management services. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reconciling the general ledger for a portfolio of real estate entities. Partial remote possible after training.
- The salary for this position ranges between $95k - $100K based on experience**
Essential Functions
- Reconcile Subsidiary Ledgers to the General Ledger.
- Review the work prepared by the Staff Accountant(s).
- Perform Bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the General Ledger for a portfolio of rental properties.
- Prepare the monthly analytical review of the financial statements.
- Prepare monthly Financial Statements for a portfolio of rental properties.
- Prepare Cash Flow analyses.
- Assist the Controller with special projects.
- Prepare year end requests for auditors.
- Performs supervisory duties on behalf of the company with respect to company associates, including hiring, performance management, providing direction, and modeling corporate values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Must possess strong mathematical, financial, and analytical abilities.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite and accounting software.
- Ability to work autonomous by prioritizing tasks.
- Effective communicate with all employees at all levels of the organization and with owners.
- Solid attention to detail
What We Are Looking For From You
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 3-5 years’ experience or the equivalent
- Experience with multi-family housing software a plus
- 2+ years accounting experience in multi-family real estate industry
- Public Accounting experience, 1-2 years preferred.
