Sr. Accountant – Training & Implementation

CINC is a fully integrated cloud-based homeowners’ association accounting and property management software system. The organization develops accounting and management software solutions that support the running of the day to day activities of Homeowners Associations. This role will assist in the implementation of new accounting software by completing an initial accounting review of the client’s use of existing accounting system and the client’s accounting reports in order to complete project implementation tasks to convert accounting data and records.

Job Duties

Gathers, consolidates, and analyzes financial data in order to evaluate client accounting and technical competency and accuracy in reports.

Gathers knowledge through attendance in project conference calls on client accounting processes.

Improves and restructures chart of accounts to align with client reporting expectations within software requirements.

Ensures chart of accounts support fund accounting or quasi fund accounting processes and reporting.

Presents sample financial reports for review and approval.

Assists with requirements definition for accounting data extraction and conversion.

Assists with the integration of general ledger codes supporting automated accounting processes.

Reviews accounting set-up for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with relevant controls and alerts.

Provides support and assistance to project manager and team members.

May assist with client’s initial month/year-end close or general ledger reconciliation.

May assist client in adopting new accounting processes by assisting with daily reconciliation and other tasks.

Performs data entry duties as needed into CINC’s industry specific software and completes other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.

Continually seeks knowledge about software platform and is a resource to others in department through knowledge share.

Basic project management such as Organize meetings, follow up with stakeholders, meet deadlines, and update project/task information in project management systems.

Performs work under general supervision and is responsive to deadlines. Positive natured team player. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter and shares knowledge. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group by sharing knowledge and building tools.

Requirements

Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience with 3 - 5 years of deep general ledger and financial reporting experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and advanced proficiency in Excel is strongly desired.

In the future, some travel may be required. (Could be more or less depending on Time of Year). CINC is not currently traveling due to Covid restrictions.
