Job Description
Associa Chicagoland is recruiting for a qualified part-time seasonal Maintenance Technician in the Chicagoland Suburbs. Must be a team player and be able to communicate effectively.
The seasonal maintenance technician (part-time) will assist our full-time maintenance technicians of maintenance duties involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, cleaning, and general maintenance repairs to guarantee that the communities are properly and safely maintained. Tasks include but are not limited to cleaning, painting, staining, post hole digging, power washing, installing light bulbs, assisting in drywall repairs, wood fencing repairs, and general assistance to our full-maintenance technicians.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Gutter cleaning must be comfortable walking on roofs.
Assisting in siding repairs – working off of 30’ ladders
Assisting with drywall repairs,
Power washing buildings
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
Professional customer service skills.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED Required
Travel Requirements
Travel will be required
Associa reimburses for travel time after the point you have reach your first job to the time you reach the last. It is incumbent upon the Seasonal Maintenance Technician to keep and record mileage.
Working Conditions
Typical outside work environment (frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools).
