Summary
The Golf Starter & Players Assistant is responsible for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable golfing experience for all players. This role involves managing the starting tee, assisting golfers with their needs, and maintaining the overall pace of play on the course.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Varied working hours to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
License/Permits/Certifications Required
Valid Driver’s License and State mandated vehicle insurance.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
The attendant works in a well-lighted, clean environment. S/he constantly interacts with other people, and may have to handle several responsibilities at once. The Association maintains a smoke-free environment in its offices, buildings, and Clubhouse complex.

- Greet and check in golfers at the starting tee, ensuring proper tee times and group sizes.
- Provide information about the course, including layout, rules, and any current conditions or events.
- Monitor and manage the pace of play to ensure a timely round for all golfers.
- Assist with the scheduling and coordination of tee times to maximize course usage.
- Address any player concerns or issues, providing excellent customer service and resolving conflicts as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the starter area and surrounding facilities.
- Collaborate with other golf course staff to ensure a high standard of service and a positive golfing experience.
- Assist with special events or tournaments as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of golf course operations and etiquette is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Language Skills:
- The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
