Summary

As a Golf Shop Associate at Desert Princess Country Club, you will provide exceptional customer service to enhance the golfing experience for our members and guests. You will be responsible for managing daily shop operations, assisting with sales, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the golf shop.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor. Provide information on golf products, services, and course details.
  • Sales and Inventory Management: Process transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and manage inventory levels. Assist with restocking and merchandising products.
  • Reservations and Bookings: Assist with booking tee times, managing golf cart rentals, and scheduling lessons or events as needed.
  • Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized shop environment. Ensure merchandise displays are attractive and well-stocked.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with golfers and staff, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and report generation. Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • College coursework in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of golf equipment and terminology is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Language Skills

The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

Work Environment

The attendant works in a well-lighted, clean environment. S/he constantly interacts with other people, and may have to handle several responsibilities at once. The Association maintains a smoke-free environment in its offices, buildings, and Clubhouse complex.
