Job Description
This senior position will work closely with Lincoln Hancock Restoration's Sales and Construction department and is responsible for assisting the sales team with closing the project sale and continuing to collaborate with the adjuster through the duration of the project. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys the full cycle of insurance claims. The projects will deal with Multi-family roofing, fire, hail damage, and internal structure. This role will work remotely with 2 to 3 days of travel each week based upon storm season.

The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys the full cycle of insurance claims. The projects will deal with Multi-family roofing, fire, hail damage, and internal structure. This role will work remotely with 2 to 3 days of travel each week based upon storm season.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Documentation of everything with detailed notes, measurements, and photos that tell a story.
- Communication with the insurance carriers, policy holders / HOA, and your coworkers is 80% of the job.
- Acknowledge code & ordinance coverage and the ability to discuss this with the policy holder and adjuster.
- Manage the scope writing volume complexities for larger and multi-family condominium projects (approximately 15-30 projects a year).
- This position reports directly to the VP of Estimating with weekly calls to partner with the Sales Department.
- LHR has independent contractors that can help the Estimator during busy seasons.
- This position will work closely with the VP of Construction, to ensure we set the project up for success.
- Bonuses will be based on the overall profit of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Xactimate certification preferred.
- Experience as an estimator or within a similar role.
- Must have extensive experience writing Xactimate scopes and/or major flood scopes, fires, and hail.
- Significant experience negotiating claims with adjusters.
- Experience with large loss claims.
- Clear understanding of Mitigation / Restoration.
- Must have the ability to go on roofs.
- Must be willing to climb 40’ ladders and/or lifts. We will provide ladder assists on 40’ ladders. The Estimator will solely manage smaller ladders.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Travel will be greater in the spring, summer, and during hurricane season. Winter travel is less. (Usually, travel to meet the adjuster is one night in & out. Travel to write a scope is typically 1-2 nights, depending on the project). Travel for hurricane or hail damage inspections is often 4-5 days/week.Weekend travel is not required, except in the case of a hurricane. Travel may be heavy for 2-3 weeks and then taper off to a more normal schedule. Projects can be anywhere in the US.
