Job Description

Position Summary:

Downtown Honolulu’s premiere luxury residential condominium is looking for a full time or part time Residential Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude and exercise a high level of service. We are interested in candidates that can problem solve, multi-task and respond to many different situations with tact and professionalism. An essential part of the position is to ensure that safety and security protocols are consistently followed. Must be team oriented and display a positive, respectful, service-oriented attitude towards our residents, guests/visitors, co-workers, and our company.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides luxury, first class, personal customer service to all residents, guests, and contractors.
  • Welcome and acknowledge each resident and guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using names when possible.
  • Address service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner. Anticipate service needs including asking questions to better understand needs and watching/listening to preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
  • Schedules use of the common element amenity spaces and freight elevator for movement of bulk items or move-in/move-out activities.
  • Maintains full knowledge and understanding of building amenity spaces.
  • Manages and controls guest parking and loading dock area.
  • Receives, distributes, sorts, logs, and notifies residents of all incoming parcels and packages.
  • Logs and inventories all lost and found items.
  • Responsible for upholding a clean and neat work environment of shared front desk and security office spaces.
  • Provides a safe and secure environment by supporting house rules, regulations and ensuring the observance of applicable laws.
  • Conducts property patrols and inspects assigned premises for fire and safety hazards, lights out of order, good housekeeping, and potential threats to life or property.
  • Monitors surveillance system and investigates any suspicious activities with proper follow through to authorities and management.
  • Assist during emergency situations. Respond to the scene of any accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
  • Investigate disturbances in accordance with association policies and procedures, including summoning appropriate authorities if necessary, and documenting incident.
  • Assists management with accurate documentation of all reports, records, and data. Assist in preparing incident reports (water intrusion, theft, accidents, physical hazards, fire related incidents). Summarizes and enters reports into the computer for future reference.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent with at least one (2) years’ experience in hospitality or condominium security. Customer service background desired.



  • Abilities:
  • Ability to read, write, type, give and receive oral reports.
  • Computer literate, type 25 wpm, report writing.
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively communicate in person, over the telephone lines and portable equipment.
  • Effectively and cordially communicate with management, residents, resident guests, visitors, co-workers, and law enforcement authorities.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record.
  • Ability lift and/or move a 75-lb. person in emergency situations.
  • Certification and Training:
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, Current State Guard Card are highly desired.
