Job Description

Action Property Management, the leader in community management, is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at our luxury association, Century Plaza Master, located in Century City.

Schedule: 2:00 pm-10:30 pm Tuesday- Saturday

Compensation: $26.00 - $29.00 Hourly plus benefits

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician 2, under the direction and supervision of the Building Engineer, is responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all "common areas" within the Association as described below. Continuous hands-on training will always be provided.

Physical Duties:

  • Patch and paint the common areas of the building.
  • Wallpaper repair in the common areas of the building.
  • Responsible for general cleaning of the engineering spaces.
  • Clean and paint non-operating mechanical equipment, which has been shut down, locked out, and tagged by Supervisor.
  • Provide light electrical duties: Changing light bulbs.
  • Willingness to learn to become a full-time Building Engineer

Emergency Response:

  • Maintain preparedness for an emergency response to flood, fire, power outage, earthquake, and other disasters.
  • Respond to project emergencies.

Teamwork & Customer Service:

  • Be a team player and contribute to the creation of an enjoyable, productive, and safe work environment.
  • Be prepared to assist team members with tasks not strictly related to this job description.
  • Maintain customer service standards as set by the Hospitality Department and General Manager.
  • Display high morale, integrity, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
  • Be available for overtime in special circumstances in order to complete projects or meet deadlines

Requirements

  • Must be over 18 years of age and successfully pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal history report and drug screening
  • Polished and professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiar with MS Office applications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 year of Maintenance Technician experience. High Rise Property Management or Hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 year of Painting and Patching
  • High Rise mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC experience desired
  • Fire Life Safety Certification is a plus
  • EPA/608 Universal License preferred
  • HVAC Certification preferred
