Job Description

Associa is a market leader in the Community management space and we are looking for a Regional Sales Director to join our team.As the Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in your assigned region. You will work with a variety of different departments and regional leaders to establish plans and strategies to expand Associa’s customer base. You will also contribute to the development of sales, training, and educational programs for Associa’s clients, Business Development Managers, and branch Presidents. The Regional Sales Director is a critical position within our Sales team and is directly responsible for the success and growth of our business.

This position will cover territory in the Northeast USA, and this is a remote role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and follow through on strategic marketing plans and sales strategies in partnership with local branches and Associa’s Marketing department to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Conduct one-on-one review with Business Development Managers to build more effective communications, address and implement training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of sales performance.
  • Provide timely feedback to Branch President, RVP, VP and SVP related to performance.
  • Identify marketing priorities based on primary focus of “lead generation”.
  • Work with local Business Development Managers to measure effectiveness of marketing and sales programs and distribution channels. Design and implement changes, as appropriate.
  • Recommend marketing promotions in conjunction with national campaigns.
  • Lead the regions development of target accounts and in identifying customer profitability improvement plans. Coach Sales Representatives on target account plans and ensure employees have the appropriate sales goals.
  • Develop strategies to grow direct business and ensure that distribution sales are properly managed in accordance with the individual business strategies.
  • Analyze the success of the region’s lead generation efforts through key performance metrics (KPMs) and set aggressive region account development goals.
  • Ensure sales tools (salesforce, PFL, lead generation and engagement channels, etc.) are used effectively by each region representative.
  • Perform annual and quarterly performance review with VP of sales.

Requirements

  • Strong background in industry-related sales.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and attributes (coaching, performance management, servant mentality)
  • Ability to respond effectively to highly sensitive inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated excellent level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a proficient manner.
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to work in an unstructured environment
  • Must have strong/effective negotiation skills (externally and internally)
  • Ability to develop relationships that will help foster opportunities for big market growth.
  • Knowledge and proficient utilization of MS office 2000, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and utilization of CRM, preferably SalesForce
