Job Description
The Recreation Director will oversee the performance and operations of a recreational facility. They willmanage staff and must make sure that they hire the right people for the right activities. They conductperformance evaluations in a timely manner.
Work schedule:Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee recreation events to ensure that they meet specific goals, guests’ interests and needsand corporate philosophies.
- Manage, develop and lead recreation staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, andreviewing the performance of all staff employees.
- Develop, plan, and implement enjoyable programs and activities for guests to promote fitness,wellness and enrichment.
- Keep records to improve future recreation planning, documenting guest reception andparticipation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
- 5+ years of related experience to include supervisor experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), customer focused, service driven, team oriented, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, time management and time critical prioritization skills.
- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a expert level.
