Job Description

 

Job Summary

 

Some golf experience or knowledge is required. Employees must be comfortable working directly with customers and be upbeat and positive as they will be responsible for regular contact with residents and guests using the pool and clubhouse facilities.

 

The position will consist of checking in golfers, managing tee times and walk-ins, taking payments, checking out pull carts, monitor resident, and guest use of the clubhouse and pool facilities for adherence to the Rules & Regulations regarding facility use. Must be able to work with little to no supervision and be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Day-to-Day:
    • Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop and pool, accurately ringing up charges at the register and checking in all golfers prior to play. This also includes proper cash, coin and card handling and meeting all standards of operations.
    • Respond to inquiries and make tee times for members and guests both in-person and over the phone.
    • Focus attention on Members' and guests' needs while remaining calm, professional, and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
    • Responsible for inventory controls, merchandise check-in, and organization of storage and display areas.
    • Keep up inventory levels of constantly stocked items (i.e., shirts, socks, gloves, hats, balls, snacks, and drinks, etc.).
    • Responsible for marshaling, starting, and outside services as needed and requested.
    • Provide shop assistance to the General Manager and Head Pro Golf Liaison.
  • Clubhouse:
    • Assist with set up and tear down of tables, chairs for Association meetings, events, and activities
    • Clean up after Association sponsored events as needed
    • Check for missing or damaged equipment; if found – report the condition to the Community Manager
    • Collect deposits as well as clubhouse fees and report to management when complete
  • Restrooms:
    • Check for cleanliness throughout the day and restock as needed
    • Trash removal daily
  • Pool/ Spa:
    • Monitor trash cans, empty and replace bag as needed
    • Responsible for regular contact with residents and guests using the pool and clubhouse facilities
    • Responsible for ensuring that residents and guests sign in before using the pool area
    • Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, accurately ringing up charges at the register and checking in all pool patrons prior to play. This also includes proper cash, coin and card handling and meeting all standards of operations.
  • General Duties:
    • Informs residents and guests of Rules & Regulations as needed
    • Empty wastebaskets/ trash cans as needed
    • Report any shortage of supplies to the General Manager as needed
    • Conduct routine, daily, walk-throughs inspecting all clubhouse areas and correcting/reporting deficiencies, or problems as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:$17-19 per hour plus free golf and pool; depending on experience.

 

Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Professional customer service skills and communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and Golf Now
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at proficient level.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to perform a varied work schedule: nights, weekends and holidays are required.
  • May be bending, stooping, squatting, walking standing throughout shift.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather may also be from extreme cold to extreme heat.

 

Education:

 

Current High School Student or above
