Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and assisting with the month-end closing process. This role is critical in providing accurate financial information promptly to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
$75,000 to $80,000, depending on education and experience.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Monthly Financial Statements:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Ensure that all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Month-End Close Process:
- Assist in the month-end closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain and update the general ledger by posting and reviewing journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform regular reviews of the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Provide support in preparing and reviewing budgets as needed.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (GAAP).
- Ad Hoc Projects:
- Support the finance team with various ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
- Assist Auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist with estimated tax payments for all clients.
- Assist with obtaining signatures on tax returns and tracking of tax returns.
- Assist with tracking of audits for all clients.
- Plus other work related tasks as needed
$75,000 to $80,000, depending on education and experience.
- Desired Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of accounting experience required.
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with accounting platforms (ex=SAP, Oracle, Quickbooks etc.)
- Ability to handle a high volume workload and maintain accurate and up to date information.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Good communication skills.
- Extremely detail oriented with good analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple activities, showing appropriate level of prioritizing and escalation skills.
- Flexibility and an appreciation of a fun but fast-moving environment.
