Job Description
Job Title: Property Management Staff Accountant
Overview: Sandcastle Community Management, a leading provider of community management services, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to manage the financial records of our properties. Our company manages over 180 portfolio condo and HOA associations, and this role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management accounting, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statements
- Final review monthly financial statements and reports for management and board review.
- Financial Analysis
- Review and analyze property financial statements to identify variances and trends and report to board and management each month.
- Budget Preparation
- Assist property managers with budget preparation and forecasting.
- Compliance
- Work closely with property managers and assigned accounting assistant to provide financial analysis and support.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with property managers and assigned accounting assistant to provide financial analysis and support.
- Audit Participation
- Participate in year-end financial audit processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in property management accounting preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
