Job Description

Job Summary

A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in

the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with

designated communities and may include, but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for

maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

 Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and

electronically.

 Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of

complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.

 Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.

 Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve

minimum property standards.

 Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

 Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.

 Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,

regulations, etc.)

 Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.

 Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.

 Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.

 Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.

 Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).

 Professional customer service skills.

 Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.

 Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
