Job Description
The Project Foreman is a key position on our active construction projects. The Project Foreman will coordinate operations and oversee workers on the construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, this person will be a key person for the completion of a project.
This is a perfect role for an individual who wants to secure a career in construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Confirms schedules and monitors the attendance of crew.
- Confirms tradespeople are accounted for and documented in ProCore.
- Guarantees all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
- Supervises the use of machinery and equipment.
- Accountability of opening and closing the site daily.
- Resolves problems as they arise.
- Reports on progress to managers, engineers, etc. both in Word and ProCore.
- Manages material deliveries.
- Handles project take-off’s / in-depth knowledge of construction materials.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and clients.
- Knowledge of remodeling, reconstitution, restoration projects (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft.
- Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety.
- Knowledge of governmental safety requirements is a plus.
- Professional communication skills (in writing and verbally).
- Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
- Time management and time critical prioritization.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- May be required to provide own basic tools (power drill, power saw, screwdrivers, level, hammer, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Travel currently within St. Petersburg area only, but potentially throughout the US later on.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to safely operate, climb and perform work on ladders (1-2 stories) up to 24 ft.
- Ability to operate technology equipment like smartphones & email software for day-to-day operations, communication, and monthly expense reports.
- Must be able to operate a vehicle from one location to another.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, pull/push, grasp, twist, reach above shoulder, walk, stoop, kneel and climb.
- Typical outside work environment year-round(frequent standing, walking, lifting and/or operating powered equipment using proper safety techniques or tools), exposure to elements like rain, heat or cold.
- Overtime may-be required (on-call rotation)
