Summary
The Porter team member is responsible for keeping all common areas of the high-rise residential building clean, well-maintained, and presentable for residents and guests. This includes routine cleaning, trash removal, restocking supplies, and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

At the direction of the General manager receives daily work assignments including, but not limited to, the following:
- Maintain cleanliness of all common and outdoor areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and building entrances.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, trash removal, and restocking supplies.
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor promptly.
- Assist with seasonal projects and special tasks, including deep cleaning, event prep, or power washing, as needed.
- Other assigned duties
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent helpful.
- Minimum of one year related job experience.
- Language Skills:
- The candidate must have good communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in:
- Custodial/Janitorial
- Trash management
- Concrete surface cleaning
Tools include, but are not limited to: vacuums, mops, brooms, carpet extractor, washer/dryer, hammer, pliers, pick, wire cutters, saw, drills, socket, wrenches, levels, shovel, rake, tamper, electrical tester, compressor, painting equipment, two-occupant electric maintenance cart.
