Pool Monitors & Lifeguard (Certified)

Join our Team! Leland Management is seeking a part-time Pool Monitor & Certified Lifeguard. Must be able to work weekdays and weekends.

Position Summary

Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with Meridian Parks Amenity Center.

Duties

• Checks the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving.
• Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
• Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
• Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports as required.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skilled in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation as stipulated by the department.
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
• Lifeguard certification.
• Certified in CPR, AED-02, First Aid
