Job Description
The Pool Monitor is responsible for overseeing the pool area during scheduled shifts to help ensure a safe and enjoyable
environment. While on duty (excluding scheduled breaks), the motor will observed pool activity, help enforce facility rules, and ensure that only authorized members and their guests are granted access Additional responsibilities may include light cleaning, maintaining the pool house, sweeping and vacuuming the pool, and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with members and guests in a friendly, respectful and efficient manner.
- Check in members and their guests and assist them with any questions or needs related to pool access and usage.
- Ensure only authorized members and their guests are permitted in the pool area.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pool and bathhouse area, including deck, sweeping, trash removal and basic janitorialtasks.
- Monitor pool filtration systems and other equipment to ensure proper functioning (training provided)
- Perform daily testing of pool water for chlorine, and pH levels, and help to maintain a balance.
- Maintain proper chemical balance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisory staff.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.

- Ability to stay alert and attentive during scheduled shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, and reduced hour shifts.

Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to a variety of environmental elements, such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
- Injury may require professional treatment or hospitalization-constant precautions required, i.e., gloves, face mask, and safety glasses.
- Physical activity required, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and stretching.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Suitable clothing and footwear for tasks assigned. Modest rash guard-style swimsuits may be worn while monitoring the pool.
- Schedule (must be available to work weekends and holidays)
- Wage: $16.50 per hour.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk around the pool area, bend, reach, lift light objects (such as pool equipment or trash bags), and use hands for cleaning and minor
maintenance tasks. The employee must be able to see and hear clearly to monitor pool activity and communicate effectively with members and their guests. The role will require outdoor sun exposure, including sun and heat.
