Job Description

The monitor shall observe the pool while on duty unless on scheduled breaks. The Monitor may be asked to service and maintain the pool and keep the pool house clean. Monitor the pool area to ensure that only authorized individuals (homeowners and their guests) are allowed access.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact with members and guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Be prepared to check visitors in and assist visitors entering or exiting the pool area.
  • Maintain the pool and bathhouse area, including cleaning the deck and other Janitorial tasks.
  • Monitor filtering and equipment that is used for maintaining the pool.
  • Daily testing of swimming pool water quality, Chlorine, and pH balance.
  • Maintain proper chemical balance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience, And Skill Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to details and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with homeowners and guests.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate pool operating hours.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to a variety of environmental elements; such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
  • Injury may require professional treatment or hospitalization-constant precautions required, i.e., gloves, face mask, and safety glasses.
  • Be able to stand for an extended period, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.
  • Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Suitable clothing and footwear for tasks assigned. Modest rash guard-style swimsuits may be worn while monitoring the pool.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to reach above shoulders with hands and arms in order to file a variety of documents; use hands and fingers to input data to information system; and talk or hear in order to gather and provide information on departmental processes. The employee is often required to sit in order to process information and conduct data entry activities.

Rate of Pay: $16 per hour.
