Pool Attendant
Job Description
The Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests. They actively engage with guests, manage pool deck operations, and maintain activities schedule. and assist in other duties as assigned by the Community Association Manager.
Responsibilities
Pool Attendants:
Pool attendants’ daily tasks.
Coordinate breaks and rotations.
Ensure efficient poolside operations.
Guest Interaction:
Engage with guests, answer questions, and provide assistance.
Use a microphone to make announcements and relay important information to guests on the pool deck.
Pool Deck Management:
Open and close the pool deck according to operating hours.
Arrange chairs and lounges for guest comfort.
Maintain a neat and clean pool area at all times.
Collect and dispose of poolside trash.
Safety and Procedures:
Ensure all safety precautions are followed.
Enforce pool rules and regulations.
Respond appropriately in emergencies.
Pleasant Environment:
Create a welcoming atmosphere for property owners and their guests.
Promote a positive experience at the pool.
Other Duties:
Assist the on-site Community Association Manager as needed.
Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalency preferred. May require Certified Pool Operator certification.
May require CPR and/or Lifeguard certification.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
One (1) to Two (2) years of related work experience. Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Computer literacy:
Intermediate command of computer hardware/software is required; specifically, knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Experience in maintaining a website is desired
Language requirements:
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Travel and availability requirements:
May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an ad-hoc basis. May be occasionally required to cover for site staff when needed.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends. Ability to respond to emergencies in a prompt and responsible manner.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time, may fluctuate. May handle, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms, communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information.
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions; complete all required forms.

Safety Equipment (may/may not include):
- Protective Gloves and Glasses when using hazardous materials when cleaning the pool (Must be CPO Certified).

Working Conditions:
The majority of work will be completed outdoors in a non-temperature controlled environment with moderate noise levels.
