Summary:

The People, Strategy & Operations (PSO) team supports and sustains the company’s growth by hiring talented industry professionals, providing growth opportunities, and partnering with leadership to optimize team performance. This position involves working across teams, departments, and external agencies to support the daily operations and initiatives of the PSO function

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Sr. People Business Partner with implementing and administering programs and events that positively impact colleague engagement, retention, and connection with the company’s culture, values, and mission.
  • Assist team by gathering data and information to respond to audit requests.
  • Deliver and continuously improve the effective onboarding program for new hires aligned with our goal of driving retention of top talent and a positive colleague experience.
  • Manages the separation process from start to finish ensuring all internal notifications regarding separation have occurred. Continually improving the process to ensure we are leveraging the latest capability within our HRIS (Human Resources Information System) system for accurate reporting.
  • Partner with Paylocity during annual benefits enrollment and new hires during the year to ensure enrollment is accurate and complete per eligibility requirements.
  • HRIS reporting and analysis that helps the VP, People, and President to make critical business decisions.
  • Responsible for managing the unemployment response and reporting process, identifying themes and solutions that can be used on the front end.
  • Administer leaves of absence while applying appropriate federal and state laws, reporting, and tracking to ensure COBRA notifications are sent timely where applicable.
  • Consistently monitor and audit onboarding and mandatory training to ensure completed timely.
  • Maintain content on the People hub on the intranet as well as send out communications.
  • Manage DMV Pull Notices and pull reports weekly. Notify VP of People and Senior Business Partner of any reports containing information to review.
  • Responsible for annual EEO Reporting.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims process;
  • Maintain workers’ compensation log to keep track of claims as many of them span over several years and we have different carriers.
  • Update workers’ compensation packets annually per State to ensure we are using up-to-date forms.
  • Send out a quarterly reminder to supervisors on how to report workplace injuries.
  • Oversight of promoting safety training, procedures, and safety inspections, including posting OSHA log annually
  • Responsible for monitoring PSO email inbox as part of team rotation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • At least two years of related HR (Human Resources) experience, benefits, and employee engagement experience is highly desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree a plus
  • Knowledge of or exposure to Federal and California employment laws such as CFRA, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), ADA, California Leaves with a demonstrated ability to understand and apply such legal requirements and integrate and apply complex policies. Having multi-state experience is a plus.
  • HR certificate or SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) designation is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Ability to manage competing priorities to meet all deliverables timely
  • Able to effectively respond to inquiries about company policies and procedures
  • Time management – monitor group and individual Outlook inboxes

Availability:

Regular business hours and after regular business hours, as necessary.
