Job Details At WPM your job as a Leasing Specialist is to lease apartments to prospective residents by practicing excellent customer service and developing strategies to market the property. You will be expected to guide prospects through their application and rental process while maintaining a strong customer service/satisfaction focus. Our Leasing Specialists play a crucial role in turning our apartments into homes for our residents by addressing their wants and needs, planning resident events, and thinking outside the box to address issues and concerns. This position is great for those that enjoy and have previous experience in customer service, sales and marketing. Leasing associates are offered a competitive base pay, plus the opportunity to earn commission! Scheduled for 24 hours weekly(Monday, Friday and Saturday).

  • Tracking all phone and walk-in traffic by recording it into the system daily; prepare traffic reports
  • Assist applicants with application process and gather the supporting documentation
  • Maintain marketing materials
  • Manage vacancies by maintaining vacancy report daily, performing all checklist items to prepare vacant unit for move-in
  • Ensuring vacant apartments are ready for move-in by performing minor cleaning of fixtures, floors, windows, etc.
  • Promote resident retention through completion of tasks in Resident Retention Plan; Planning, assisting with, and participating in community events for the residents
  • Assist Management in establishing, promoting, and maintaining positive relations with the residents and with everyday operations of the property
  • Provide prospects, residents and vendors with assistance in scheduling building tours, maintenance, communicating building procedures and supplying general building information.
  • Coordinate, Market and participate in resident outreach and Marketing events
  • Provide support to Property Managers by producing, modifying and /or distributing various forms, spreadsheets, manuals, information packages and etc.
  • Process correspondence with residents, contractors and other third parties for Property Management staff.
  • Maintain and update insurance certificate files for all residents
  • Assist in electronic/hard copy filing systems for all residents, invoices, purchase orders, vendors, and other files.
  • Contribute toward operational needs by helping to provide phone coverage, administrative support related to maintaining property management operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to present a positive professional image in appearance, demeanor, and dress
  • Ability to operate PC and learn new software
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle
  • Outstanding demonstrated sales skills and persuasiveness in overcoming objections
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior leasing and/or sales experience preferred
