Job Summary
Gate Concierge Attendant ensures the highest possible level of service is being offered to all residents and
guests. They are responsible for meeting, greeting, and registering guests, as well as maintaining the
safety of association property. They must be able to understand and react to emergency situations and
operate electronic access control systems. Reports to Gate Concierge Supervisor.
In addition to their role in enhancing resident and guest experiences, gate concierges also provide
administrative support, assist with day-to-day operational tasks, and serve as a liaison between residents,
contractors, guests, Property Management, and the Board of Directors
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
- Greet, monitor, and authorize entrance of homeowners, real estate agents, delivery services, visitors
and other persons while maintaining security of premises. Make positive identification and determine
appropriate action. Ensure quality, consistent and overall customer service presentation to residents
and guests.
- Monitoring camera footage for access and/or safety concerns, make incident reports as required.
- Patrolling the premises, ensuring rules and regulations are followed, and preventing or reporting
property damage/injuries.
- Maintain electronic access control systems, daily logs, records, and forms with required information.
- Parking control and enforcement in parking lot and community owned streets (per Board direction)
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
- Works shifts that are subject to change based on property needs.
- Implement emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations such as fires, floods, leaks,
power outages, etc. in a timely and efficient manner and within specified guidelines. Maintain
awareness and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Report all issues, complaints, and safety matters to Management.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify
supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and
supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate
issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to
new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience
Valid FL Security Officer D License required.
High School Diploma or its equivalent is required, and two (2) to three (3) years previous related
Experience Preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, judgment and decision making abilities.
- Ability to learn and possess knowledge of multi-building operations.
- Must be able to properly represent the organization at all times. Must follow the company dress code
and Policy and display identification badges at all times.
Tools & Equipment Used
Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, cameras and usual
office equipment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
This position works under usual good and/or office conditions. Must be able to stand, sit and walk for
extended periods and occasionally climb. Must be able to handle, use fingers, grasp and lift objects and
packages and reach with hands and arms. The incumbent must be able to navigate the property quickly
and easily as required to meet the job functions and work extended and flexible hours and weekends as
needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays based on community requirements.
