The Vail Gondola Club is located steps away from Gondola One in Vail Village. Managed by the Cordillera Property Owners Association, the Vail Gondola Club is an exclusive Ski Club providing first-class service in a comfortable and inviting environment.

We are looking to complete our seasonal winter staff providing ski valet and light food and beverage service. We foster a positive environment of teamwork and love for the Colorado Rocky Mountain Ski culture. Responsibilities

Seasonal Help - Nov 2024 through April 2025

The Vail Gondola Club opens and closes with Vail, and we are looking for candidates that can work the entire winter season. Schedule would be four 10-hour shifts and three days off per week!

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean Ski Club facility and provide a first-class level of hospitality to Members.
  • Welcome and greet Members to the Club with a smile. Learn and use name recognition.
  • Daily restock, food inventory, catered food service, and keeping the Club tidy throughout the day.
  • Present and maintain an attractive food & beverage display.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with Members.
  • Daily member services: check members in on spreadsheet as they arrive, pulling member skis out from the back room as members ski for the day, put boots on boot dryer when member returns and replaces them in their locker the following morning before the Club opens.
  • Opening and closing the Ski Club and ensuring all Members return safely.
  • Shuttle Member skis across to Ski Shop for tunes as needed.
  • Ensuring all members follow the VGC Rules & Regulations that they have signed.
  • Having great knowledge of the VGC Membership Plan and Rules & Regulations.
  • Assisting members with booking guest locker days per the Rules and Regulations.
  • Other work-related tasks as needed
  • Lead Attendant Task: Learn and perform supervisory tasks such as monitor attendant staff, conduct inventory, order supplies, handle Member escalation in absence of Vail Gondola Club Manager.
  • Lead Attendant Task: Train and develop Vail Gondola Club attendants.
  • Lead Attendant Task: Ensure checklists and procedures are completed properly by all staff and notify management when items are not completed as required.
  • Lead Attendant Task: Monitor effectiveness of processes and procedures in place and when changes may be needed, work with Management to implement procedural changes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of Vail Ski Resort and terrain is extremely helpful.
  • Valid Driver’s License and live close to Cordillera Vail Gondola Club
  • Must pass background check.
  • Prior customer service/hospitality experience is a plus.
  • 5-star attitude and warm and friendly personality
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English; to follow oral and written instructions and to memorize necessary information.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work rapidly and quickly during rush periods.
  • A team player able to work well with others.
  • Organized and proactive with great attention to detail.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work the entire ski season November - April
