The Pool Attendant primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the pool/amenity patrons, maintain a clean and safe environment and observe and enforce pool and related area rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist homeowners with completing waivers in their entirety before permitting pool check-in.
- Frequently conduct rounds of both inside and outside amenities.
- Ensure all patrons are wearing their resident ID badges when utilizing amenities.
- Protect the assets of the facility by maintaining equipment inventory, developing, and implementing procedures for equipment check-out from the lifeguard’s station or related areas.
- Protect and ensure safe conditions for residents. Preventing accidents and eliminating hazardous conditions in the water and or surrounding areas are priority via quick emergency response.
- When monitoring the pool, it must be constantly scanned for any water participants who need assistance.
- Adhere to established emergency procedures and complete reports in a concise and timely manner.
- Observe and enforce all rules and regulations. Educate and inform residents diplomatically of this information.
- Immediately notify management staff of any accidents, maintenance problems, or any violations of rules by patrons.
- Complete daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual opening and closing checklists.
- Observe daily sanitation and sterilization requirements regarding COVID-19.
- Complete maintenance practices to ensure a clean and presentable facility.
- When experiencing down time, assist Club and/or Community Manager with facility up-keep and duties.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.

- Knowledge of pool equipment and safety measures.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 45 Lbs., up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 10 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry (preferred).
