Job Description

As an onsite maintenance technician for a residential community association, your main duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Performing routine maintenance: You will be responsible for conducting regular maintenance on the community's buildings, grounds, and equipment. This may include repairing appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
  • Responding to maintenance requests: You will need to promptly respond to maintenance requests from residents, property managers, or community board members. You may also be required to maintain records of all maintenance requests and their resolutions.
  • Inspecting and maintaining community amenities: You will need to conduct regular inspections of community amenities, such as the pool, fitness center, and playground, to ensure that they are in good working condition. You will also be responsible for conducting regular maintenance on these amenities to ensure their safety and cleanliness.
  • Coordinating with contractors and vendors: You may need to coordinate with contractors and vendors to obtain quotes for repairs and maintenance services, and to ensure that work is completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections: You will be responsible for conducting regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and to ensure that the community is in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintaining inventory: You will need to maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks and ensure that all supplies are replenished as needed.
  • Communicating with residents: You will be responsible for communicating with residents regarding maintenance schedules, community updates, and other relevant information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Valid drivers license required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Work outside and indoors under various weather conditions
