Responsibilites
A Lead Porter is responsible for overseeing the work of porters, ensuring that facilities are clean and well-maintained, and often providing leadership and training to the team. Key duties include assigning tasks, monitoring work quality, maintaining supplies, and ensuring safety and security procedures are followed. They may also perform general cleaning and light maintenance tasks, and assist with tasks like stripping and waxing floors, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning pool furniture, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
Supervising and guiding the work of a team of porters, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed on time.
- Quality Control:
Monitoring the performance of porters, providing guidance, and ensuring cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Maintenance and Cleaning:
Performing a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Safety and Security:
Ensuring porters follow safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and properly using equipment.
- Inventory Management:
Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are available and accessible for the team.
- Training:
Training new porters on proper cleaning and safety procedures.
- Communication:
Effectively communicating with team members, supervisors, and other staff.
- Specific Duties:
May include stripping and waxing floors, disinfecting rooms, and performing other specialized cleaning tasks as needed.
