Responsibilities
Responsible for the visual presentation and cleanliness of the associations under the direction of their immediate supervisor.
This includes but is not limited to, groundskeeping and janitorial.
- General outdoor cleaning of the common area utilizing proper sanitary products and practices.
- Light check and bulb change and reporting of damaged light fixtures.
- Power washing of walkways, entryways, and lots.
- Pick up trash from lawns and common areas along with proper disposal in appropriate bins.
- Blow leaves away from common areas.
- Check the pool area for trash and disposal of any contaminants.
- Ensure poolside tables, and seats are wiped down periodically.
- Empty trash bins in common areas with proper disposal practices.
- Clean dumpster areas to ensure the space smells clean and
- Proper cleaning of glass surfaces.
- Removal of dust and debris.
- Check doggie station basket and refill as required.
- Keep drainage areas clear of debris.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Ensure that the best safety practices are utilized when handling chemical substances and while performing their duties. (Gloves, Mask, attire when required)
- Keep the cleaning log up to date when duties are completed.
- Must be able to identify issues such as leaks, cracked walls, electrical failures, and report to the operations manager for immediate resolution.
- Must be able to hand small leak repairs, low voltage issue, spackle cracked surfaces and paint when necessary.
- Plus other work related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read and write English, bilingual is a plus.
- Excellent people skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license, proof of current insurance and vehicle registration.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must be a proficient problem-solver.
- Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general.
- Must have general “handy man” tools and skill to repair needed items.
- Must be knowledgeable on proper safety standards enforced by OSHA.
Pay and Benefits:
$17.00 to $18.00, depending on education and experience.
