Responsibilities

 

Maintenance/Cleaning Overview:

 

Walk around building and property to see if anything needs attention aside from the list below.

 

Main Entry/Foyer:

 

• Clean entry doors inside & out
• Dust horizontal surfaces: furniture, windowsills, picture frames, etc .
• Vacuum (mop floors as needed)
• Clean inside elevator: floor, walls, door

 

Covered Entry I Walkways I Stairways I Trash:

 

• Clear cobwebs from ceilings and light fixtures
• Wash hallways
• Sweep stairways and wipe down railings
• Make sure trash area is neat and trash is in containers

 

Pool Area:

 

• Clean bathrooms (mens & womens): floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, etc.
• Restock paper products
• Disinfect door handles and light switches
• Wipe down furniture
• Chemical test using test strips

 

Laundry Room:

 

• Wipe off/clean countertop, washer & dryer, and clean lint trap
• Clean floor (mop floors as needed)

 

Maintenance:

 

• Alert management of anything that need to be repaired
• Replace lightbulbs
• Minor carpentry, electrical & plumbing
• Finish mulching (if not already done)

 

Plus other work related tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

 

• High school degree or GED required
• Must be able to speak, read and write English, bilingual is a plus.
• Must be a proficient problem-solver.
• Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general.
• Must have general “handy man” tools and skill to repair needed items.

 

Pay = $20.00 to $23.00 hour depending on experience
